Hello Residents of Henry County. I’m Cathy Eke, your candidate for Henry County Prosecutor in 2026 and would appreciate your vote. You have multiple choices for Prosecutor this year, but I know that I am the most experienced and qualified candidate for the position.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Having exclusively practiced criminal law for over 24 years makes me uniquely qualified to be your Prosecutor. I have been serving as the Henry Country Chief Public Defender for over 10 years and before that, spent over 14 years in Marion County as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and Deputy Public Defender. Having worked both sides of the courtroom, I am capable of understanding the law from all angles. In addition to my law degree, I have a Masters degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors degree in Finance. As a resident of Henry county since 2001, I chose to make Knightstown my home because I appreciate what the community has to offer.
Driving Positive Change
As a resident of Henry County for over 24 years, I have first hand knowledge of our community’s needs and challenges. I care about Henry County because it is where I call home and continue to dedicate my pursuit to justice.
As the current Chief Public Defender, I have managed a staff of several attorneys and maintained an annual county budget of nearly $400,000. My fiscal responsibility has allowed the Public Defender office budget to decrease by nearly $30,000 since taking office.
I am running for Prosecutor of Henry County because I believe this office demands experience, perspective, and ownership. It demands someone who knows not just what the job is, but what happens when it is not done with diligence.
It is my passion, and my promise, to do everything within my power to make sure the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office is run efficiently, swiftly, and with safety of residents in mind.
